Complete the park functions to create a LOHAS art and culture in STSP

1. Implementation content and promotion results

The Bureau provides park manufacturers with faster and more convenient services. The 12 categories of industrial and commercial services in the science park include banking and finance, post office, securities, travel agency, accounting, law, equipment service providers, electronic material agency and sales, consultancy, telecommunications, inspection and verification and customs clearance services to address the needs of park manufacturers, aiming at creating a high-quality environment with high efficiency, safety, health, and comfort to attract industries and talents. Pop Up of Fat Truck in the Kaohsiung Park

In April and December, 2023, two eye-catching food truck events were held in Kaohsiung Park, which not only brought great culinary experience but also added convenience to residents and employees in the park. The food truck prepared a variety of delicious foods, including tempting submarine sandwiches, juicy fried chicken, tasty pizza, fragrant fried noodles, and a diverse selection of sushi, catering to a wide range of tastes and enriching the after-work life of the park employees. More events like this will be held to make Kaohsiung Park a more vibrant and charming local living area.

In addition to introducing 7-11 Luchia Branch into the dormitory area to provide food, beverages, and daily necessities, Kaohsiung Park also has a secret kitchen restaurant on the basement floor of the first-phase standard factory building to provide lunch meals. In addition, there are also stores such as the 7-11 Lubo Branch and Kustos Café in front of Management 1 Zone at KSP, providing a variety of dining options in the park. In addition to catering needs, convenient public facilities such as the baby care center, a post office providing postal services, and Bank of Taiwan, as well as a multi-functional sports park for the employees to exercise after work are provided. KSP will continue to build more convenient and comfortable local living areas and provide enterprises with a better working environment.

Owin 1 Fitness Center

The Southern Science Park Health & Lifestyle Center gym remains open, and all to make use of the facilities, including aerobic training and weight training, both for physical training for different purposes. Aerobic training facilities are used for aerobic exercise, including treadmills, slide machines, flywheels, rowing machines, steppers, upright bikes, etc. Weight training facilities include equipment for muscle strength training, such as the chest press machine, lat pulldown, 3D Smith machine (including pull-ups, barbell squats, bench press, deadlifts), and dumbbell training area. The multiple and diverse training can meet fitness needs for all. In the gym, users can choose suitable fitness equipment based on their needs. The fitness center also cooperates with the epidemic prevention policy and is regularly disinfected for users to exercise happily and safely.

2. Art and culture events and good-neighborly activities

STSP Bureau actively accumulates the soft power of art and culture, and is devoted to the promotion of art and culture events and concerts and organizing art exhibitions to provide rich and diverse cultural experience in the park. At the same time, good-neighborly activities are also an important part in the science park. By combining the art and culture events and the good-neighborly activities, the interaction and bond with the residents can be promoted, which can further improve the quality of life in the park area, creating a vibrant and charming STSP.

Exhibitions in Hsing-Kuang Hsier Local Culture Hall

Hsing-Kuang Hsier Local Culture Hall is a structure with the combination of religion and culture, with the second floor being the temple "New Harbor Hall" and the first floor being the Culture Hall for the exhibition of artworks from local individual artists (Xinshi, Shanhua and Anding Districts and the surrounding areas), joint exhibition of art society members, and works for art class at schools.

In 2023, the Culture Hall organized a total of 4 exhibitions, among which, the Titang Harbor Flower and Music Banquet and the Opening Tea Party of 2022 Nanke Xinshi National Photography Competition Exhibition was held amidst a cluster of flowers. In addition to awarding the winners in 2022 Nanke Xinshi National Photography Competition, artists from various places were also invited to sketch on-site, attracting passersby to stop and continue to explore the beauty of Nanke Xinshi from different angles. This is a place suitable for family travel.

To provide a more professional exhibition space and preserve as well as pass on local history, the Culture Hall started the interior upgrade works in 2023. After the renovation, participation will be expanded to provide more exhibition opportunities for park employees who love artistic creation in the science park. The Culture Hall is expected to serve as a place to display art works, but also an important platform to foster employee morale and promote community cohesion, making STSP more than just a high-tech park, but also one rich in culture, natural ecology, balanced technology, and humanistic development.

STSP Late Spring Art Festival

In the 2023 STSP Late Spring Art Festival, in addition to the afternoon music events as in previous years, new activities were also held in Tainan Park and Kaohsiung Park on April 15 and 22 respectively to allow participants to enjoy music performances and diversified activities. Furthermore, the Festival was also held in the Kaohsiung Park for the first time to allow the employees and nearby residents to enjoy the beauty of art and culture.

Tainan Park together with Innolux, Hannstar, and UMC organized the Grass Lecture Hall to bring themed interactive lectures that were educational and entertaining. The day of the event in Kaohsiung Park happened to be the Earth Day. In addition to inviting the public to enjoy a leisurely moment together, the concepts of energy conservation, plastic reduction, and simpler lifestyle were also promoted. There were also group recreation games, hands-on craft experience, and stargazing guided by the Tainan Astronomical Education Area, providing people with the rare pleasure of observing the night sky in the wildness.

Sports Events in the SCSP

To create an environment conducive to a healthy lifestyle and work and promote a sports culture, STSP Bureau organized the 2023 STSP Thousand People Fitness Walking on March 4, 2023, and continued the Exercise at STSP activities. In addition, we invited Queen of Badminton, Tai Tsu Ying to be the spokesperson for the sixth year to kick off the friendly match. Through activities such as walking and ball games, we work with park manufacturers to take care of the physical and mental health of the park employees, create a friendly workplace environment, improve the quality of life of park employees and the neighboring residents, and serve as a science park that is sophisticated, diverse, high-quality, energy-saving, and sustainable.

Christmas at STSP

To embrace the coming of Christmas and New Year, STSP Bureau held a Christmas Party & Holiday Lighting Ceremony with the theme of "2023 Christmas at STSP" at Puxin Park on the evening of Dec. 21. All the lights decorated in the park were lit up when the night fell, and there were a number of wonderful performances at the Party. Free hot food was also provided to warm the participants' stomach and for them to spend a warm night. For the year-end celebrations, the park invited 12 companies including TSMC, UMC, Kinsus, Delta Electronics, Nanya, Winbond, Macronix, Sheng Tien, and others to jointly decorate various important intersections in the park with festive lights. Following the evening festivities, visitors can enjoy the beautiful and charming light decorations throughout the park, which will remain illuminated until the Lantern Festival in 2024. It is hoped that every member of the STSP family will have their wishes come true and welcome a happy 2024!

Love Never Stops

To provide support and care for families with relatively limited resources in the neighboring area, we provide medical emergency assistance, early childhood therapy, and help to resolve life challenges. STSP Charity Month, with the purpose of "Care for the Locals, Let Love Grow Roots" receives enthusiastic responses from park manufacturers every year. This year, STSP Bureau continued to work with World Vision Taiwan, Luway Opportunity Center, Social Welfares Bureaus of Tainan City and Kaohsiung City to promote collaboration between public and private sectors, integrate resources, gather love of the people at STSP and jointly organize fundraising for charitable donations.

3. A Visit to Museum of Archaeology

Museum of Archaeology, Tainan Branch (STSP Museum of Archaeology) has an area of 2.44 hectares and is located next to the Administration Building of STSP Bureau. STSP Museum of Archaeology has a unique exterior design, and it contains more than 8 million cultural and archaeological relics, all were unearthed with the development of STSP, reflecting the profound context of craft and cultural life of this land. By organizing various activities, promote education and special exhibitions to show the unique contemporary prehistoric scenery of STSP and invite the public to come to know and cherish this rare cultural park area.
